Selling or buying an Azusa Liquor License is a particularly difficult process for any business owner to go through. Aside from this fact, it can also be time-consuming and prove to be very expensive. It is a requirement for you as a business owner to be fully aware of the ins and outs of the open market as well as know the difference between the types of permits. You also have to prepare the necessary requirements that you have to prepare and submit to the California Department of Alcohol and Beverage Control (ABC). These are all precautions so that you won’t lose valuable time and money as a buyer or seller.
Azusa Liquor Licenses are managed by the California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control, as is the case for all cities in Los Angeles County. There are some licenses that require no less than half of your income to generate from food sales. Other licenses will only permit you to sell liquor that must be consumed only off the premises of your business. It is advantageous for you to know the exact permit you need to apply for so you won’t have to waste time.

Our team at Liquor License Agents are knowledgeable in brokering, facilitating, and looking over applications for a liquor license with the ABC. We know how to find qualified buyers and sellers so you won’t have to go through that process anymore. Our agency is NALCP-certified and has over 10 years of experience under our belts in the hospitality industry. Our services are also 30% cheaper compared to our competitors in the field. So, whether you are planning to sell or buy liquor licenses, we assure you a hassle-free and efficient service like no other.

Type 20 & 21 Liquor
License

Both Type 20 and Type 21 licenses are designated for the sale of alcohol for off-premises consumption. Minors are allowed on the premises of businesses that are issued this type of license. The Type 20 license is issued for the sale of packaged beer and wine, while the Type 21 is designated for the sale of general packaged alcohol, including spirits and liquor.

Type 41 & 47 Liquor
License

Probably some of the most common types of liquor licenses, the Type 41 and Type 47 licenses are specifically designated for businesses that primarily serve food. The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control states that, in order to be issued a Type 41 or Type 47 license, your facility must be a “bona fide eating place.” 51% of the total sales should come from food.

Type 48 Liquor
License

Type 48 licenses differ from Type 41 and Type 47 licenses as they are used in establishments that are not primarily eateries. Type 48 Licenses are typically issued for bars and nightclubs. The Type 48 license permits the holder to serve liquor until 2:00 AM. Unique to this license, the Type 48 allows closed containers of beer or wine to be sold for “off-premises” consumption.

Azusa Liquor License Facts

Getting an Azusa Liquor License is a daunting and often time-consuming task to do as it can take as long as 4 months. This is unfortunate news to business owners since the last thing they want to do is be away from their everyday transactions. Unfortunately, there would be circumstances that ABC will not issue you a direct Azusa Liquor License solely because your county has exceeded its allowable quota of liquor licenses. If you find yourself in this rut, your only other option is to buy a license straight from the open market. This option is a more expensive one, but it is your only option given the circumstances.

If the ABC, however, approve your application, they will then send a notice to the local population to your preferred location to notify them of your intention to sell. If there are no objections after 30 days, the ABC will move forth to examine all the information listed regarding your business: people, location, and your business in general.
