Do you need to sell or buy a Pomona Liquor License in Los Angeles County? If you are, then you absolutely need to prepare yourself for all kinds of situations. Getting a Pomona Liquor license can take up to four long and grueling months and can be very costly depending on the business that you want to run. Anything can happen in 4 months and it is vital that you are geared with the right information before you submit your application. Hence, it’s relatively helpful if you are aware of all of the necessary documents required by way of the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC). These are precautions so that you don’t lose valuable time and money.
Pomona Liquor Licenses are managed by the California Department of Alcohol and Beverage Control (ABC), as are all cities in Los Angeles. At Liquor License Agents, we have a team of professionals that are highly experienced in locating qualified sellers and buyers of liquor licenses. We are NALCP-certified, have over 10 years of experience, and are 30% cheaper than most of our competitors. So, whether you are planning to sell or buy a Pomona Liquor License, we are the best people for the job.

Although it takes a long time to process, the ABC will immediately send a notice to your preferred location right after you submit your application. This is only a courtesy notice to the localities that you intend to sell liquor in the area. If there are no noteworthy objections to your application within 30 days, the ABC will move forward in examining all the information you listed on your application.

Type 20 & 21 Liquor
License

Both Type 20 and Type 21 licenses are designated for the sale of alcohol for off-premises consumption. Minors are allowed on the premises of businesses that are issued this type of license. The Type 20 license is issued for the sale of packaged beer and wine, while the Type 21 is designated for the sale of general packaged alcohol, including spirits and liquor.

Type 41 & 47 Liquor
License

Probably some of the most common types of liquor licenses, the Type 41 and Type 47 licenses are specifically designated for businesses that primarily serve food. The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control states that, in order to be issued a Type 41 or Type 47 license, your facility must be a “bona fide eating place.” 51% of the total sales should come from food.

Type 48 Liquor
License

Type 48 licenses differ from Type 41 and Type 47 licenses as they are used in establishments that are not primarily eateries. Type 48 Licenses are typically issued for bars and nightclubs. The Type 48 license permits the holder to serve liquor until 2:00 AM. Unique to this license, the Type 48 allows closed containers of beer or wine to be sold for “off-premises” consumption.

Pomona Liquor License Facts

There are variations of permits available so it is considered imperative to be able to distinguish which one is the right license for your business. Some licenses will require half of your business’ general income to originate from food sales while other licenses are solely for the purpose of selling liquor that is only consumable off your premises.

There will be times, however, that the ABC may not grant you a Pomona Liquor License. This is because your county has either reached their quota of issued licenses of they have exceeded it. If you find yourself in this complication, the best option for you is to buy a license from the open market. It is undeniably more expensive than the former option, but it is your only bet.

Contact one of our representatives today and know more about how we can help you with your Pomona liquor license.
